When Friday rolls around… I like to pull out the big guns. Unlike rushed and frantic weekday mornings, I truly enjoy taking my time getting ready during the weekend! With some good Spotify tunes in the background and a glass of vino, I notice I grab for some of the more daring shades in my makeup collection.
The L'Oreal Nude Palette is one that is all the rage right now. It gives the Urban Decay Naked palette trilogy a run for their money. It's a no brainer to go right to this palette to create the perfect smokey eye with it's mixtures of mattes and shimmers to create infinite smokey eye looks. I've been enjoying intensifying my eye look with an extra volumizing mascara that you may have heard of…the one and only Diorshow mascara. If you like volume and you like very black, this is your new holy grail mascara.
I don't just stop there with my eye lashes. No, no. I take it a step further with my all-time favorite false eyelashes, the Ardell Wispies. When I think of the weekend I automatically think of these lashes! They are a great dupe for the MAC #36 false eyelashes, and for only a quarter of the price.
My eye makeup would be nothing without flawless looking skin. I have been reaching for the CoverFX Total Cream Foundation to even out my skin tone and cover-up acne scarring, it's a foundation where you can even skip the concealer step. Done and done!
The real stand-out product of the group is the Sephora Cream Lipstain in "Always Red". I just saw on the Sephora website that it's on sale for $7 and it is by far the best long-wearing red I've ever tried. It's blue undertones make your teeth look whiter and your smile look brighter - what's not to love about that! I highly recommend this lip if you're feeling a new red. Grab it while it's on sale!
Weekend makeup wouldn't be complete without makeup setting spray. It is the secret to no-touch ups, no asking friends if you have eyeliner running down your face, and no worries for the rest of the night. A couple pumps of the L'Oreal Infallible Setting Spray all over your face seals your makeup and does the job at an wallet-friendly price.
I hope you all enjoyed this post! What is your typical weekend face?
