This may be surprising, but my nail polish tray is one of my favorite decor pieces in my room. It's colorful, it's bright – I pass by it and think of all the happy girly times of painting my nails (cheesy and true). I get in zen mode when I paint my nails. I do it usually every Monday night, while watching an episode of one of my current guilty pleasures TV shows. I am going bezerk for anything neon right now and I really recognized my obsession when I saw my L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche collection is growing RAPIDLY in the neon family. It's one of my favorite nail polish lines because at $5 a pop, you get a quality formula and endless options of color (wait till you see the dark shades in my L'Oreal collection!).
I find the best way to do a manicure at home is by filing all your nails into an even shape. After that, I like to buff the nail down so all the surfaces are nice and smooth – I have really rigid nails, so this step is a must for me! Then I apply two coats of the L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche nail polish to get an opaque finish. As a top coat, I like to use the Orly Sec n Dry top coat because it seriously cuts down the drying time and hardens my nails with a lot of shine. Watch me talk about it here in my recent April Favorites post!
Here is a list of my favorite neon shades from the L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche nail polish line. From left to right...
